Find about ANSI C12.22 / IEEE Std 1703 Network Node Electronic Serial Numbers
All ANSI C12.22 / IEEE Std 1703 hardware network assets must be associated with a globally unique electronic serial number (ESN) that is an ISO OID (Object Identifier).
ECMX is an OID registration provider and supplier of ANSI C12.22 and IEEE Std 1703 (and other applications) Electronic Serial Numbers.
An Electronic Serial Number is the network technology serial number that binds an ANSI C12.22 / IEEE Std 1703 physical asset to the wired or wireless communication module interface. ESNs together with ApTitles (Application Titles that make the AMI node name) are used by ANSI C12.22 / IEEE Std 1703 Master Relays to register nodes (e.g. meters and gateways) and associate them with a network, service provider and domain.
